STAN S31

What?

ST analysis is simply the computerised analysis of the ST interval of the fetal ECG. The ST interval is monitored in relation to the T/QRS baseline value in the manner of the illustration shown to the right. When any significant changes occur in the ST interval, these are automatically flagged up to alert hospital staff and guide their response.

How?

One fetal scalp electrode and one skin electrode placed on the mother’s thigh record the fetal ECG (FECG) signal. Each fetal heart beat provides one fetal ECG (FECG) complex, which STAN S31 automatically records, processes and analyses. The results are displayed on screen and any potential causes for concern are flagged up as “ST Events”.

Why?

The combination of ST Analysis and CTG provides more accurate information about the fetus than CTG alone. The combination helps identify fetuses at risk of oxygen deficiency. In large randomised control trials*, ST Analysis has been proven to help identify fetuses at risk, improve decision making, and ultimately result in delivering healthier babies.

Dual ECG Technology

STAN uses advanced double ECG technology to produce high quality traces with minimum FHR drop-outs. This ensures a high quality FHR recording throughout including at notoriously difficult times such as the late second stage and the last 30 minutes of labour.

STAN Vital Signs Monitor (VSM)

STAN VSM is a vital signs monitor which can be connected to STAN S31 to display and archive maternal parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and temperature along with the CTG. The recordings can be reviewed at any time either on STAN or on any other computer using the STAN Viewer software.

Full Keyboard - Free Text Annotations

STAN S31 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard allowing for annotations and free-text notes and observations to be typed and archived with the CTG recording.

Touch Screen - Easy To Use

It is important for equipment to be easy to use so that time is not wasted in the process. STAN has been designed to be as intuitive as possible. The menu functions are operated via a large touch screen and it is possible to scroll through the CTG recording during monitoring to identify trends and changes in the CTG.

Wall Mount or Trolley

STAN S31 can be mounted on the wall or used on a purpose-built trolley for complete flexibility and movability.
